St. Michael’s Hospital is seeking a general Hematologist for a minimum 12 month period (starting on July 1, 2023, or earlier or shortly thereafter). This position will support the current in- and out-patient demands in non-malignant/classical/complex hematology as well as some malignant hematology. Clinical activities will include three half-day clinics per week as well as consultation for in-hospital patients, attending on the in-patient consult service and participating in the weekend on-call rotation schedule as well as covering for the inpatient hematology-oncology ward when necessary. There will also be opportunities to participate in undergraduate, ambulatory clerkship, and postgraduate teaching in conjunction with the clinical work. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Hematology/Oncology at St. Michael’s Hospital. The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Hematology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
