On June 8, the BPAO hosted two events – one for Black medical trainees across the province to learn about financial and emotional well-being, followed by a phenomenal afternoon, when we all gathered to celebrate newly accepted Black medical students in Ontario– the Class of 2023 – at the 2nd ANNUAL BPAO SPRING SOCIAL!
A SATURDAY OF SHARED SUCCESS – the BPAO Summer Social
BPAO members including current medical students, residents, fellows and practicing physicians gathered to congratulate and welcome these future MDs.
The afternoon included mingling and membership signup, group photos, a welcome address by BPAO President Dr. Onye Nnorom and a (rowdy!!) Roll Call of all new students in attendance by BPAO Outreach Lead Dr. Renée Beach. There was representation across Ontario medical schools with students from McMaster University, Queen’s University, and University of Toronto all in attendance.
